2009 Halloween Party Car Show

Greetings Everyone,

The weatherman has predicted that we are supposed to get thunder storms on Saturday, October 24th (of course the day of our show :( ). I just checked with weather.com and they are saying 100% chance.

We have therefore, postponed our show to Sunday, October 25th, at 3:00 PM when the sun will be shining :) . We hope this change will not interfere with your attendance and we are looking forward to seeing everyone on Sunday.

Arlington Diner Cruise Night Cancelled

Hi everybody,

As I post this cancellation, the sun is shining but I hear it is raining in Westchester County. Since the grass is wet and the weather is questionable, we have decided to cancel tonight's cruise. I hope everyone is coping well with all the rain we have been getting. Maybe we should buy some custom boats!! Anyway, we hope to see everyone next monday. Until then, stay dry.

We are sorry to advise that tonight's cruise has been cancelled at the Arlington Diner in Poughkeepsie due to rain. We are anxious to start the new season and hope to see everyone next monday!

McDonald Highland Cruist Night Discontinued

Greetings everyone!

Lightning Rod ProMotions regrets to inform our friends that the McDonalds, Highland, New York cruise night has been discontinued for the 2009 season. The owner of McDonalds and LRP have mutually agreed that, due to the many cruise nights that have emerged, it does not benefit the car community or the hosts of such cruise nights to have so many scheduled for the same night. The owner of McDonalds at Highland has been a gracious host for more than 20 years and LRP is glad to have been able to "carry the torch" for the last three years. It is sad that such a long standing cruise night is being discontinued and we thank McDonalds for its support for the car enthusiast hobby. For those of you who are upset about loosing this great car cruise location and don't want to travel long distances to other cruises, we have been given permission to have informal gatherings at The Arlington Diner just across the bridge in Poughkeepsie on Route 44 on Friday nights, starting May 8th. We will be able to use the grassy area to the left of the diner as we do on our Monday night cruises.

LRP will be continuing our Monday night cruises starting May 4th, at the Arlington Diner at 6:00 pm, as usual with prizes and awards, weather permitting. So please feel free to gather at the diner on Friday evenings and, of course, join us for our Monday night cruises there!

2008 Halloween Party and Car Cruise

Greetings everyone,

Due to the weather conditions, we have decided to postpone our annual Halloween Party and Car Cruise to tomorrow. Please join us at the Arlington Diner at 4:00 pm for a great show. We have many trophies and prizes that have been donated to us by our sponsors and all proceeds from this show will be donated to our local food bank. This is a charity event so your support will be greatly appreciated.

We are looking forward to seeing all of the great costumes and car themes that you have come up with. I'm getting my costume together and can't wait to see everyone there.

LRP Annual Halloween Party and Car Cruise

The flyer is up on our website for this year's annual Halloween Party and Car Cruise. It will be held at the Arlington Diner, Route 44, Poughkeepsie, NY at 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 25th. The rain date will be the next day, Sunday, October 26th. Cancellations will be posted here.

This year's event is a benefit for the Mid-Hudson Valley Food Bank (known as The Community Action Partnership of Dutchess County). We will collect any non-perishable food items at the event or at Starbucks on Route 44 next to Arlington Wines and Liquors, Electric Mayhem Tattoos at Overocker Road and The Arlington Diner, Route 44, Poughkeepsie, New York. Cash or check donations will also be accepted. All proceeds of our Halloween Party and Car Cruise will be donated to the charity.

The support of all our friends and the car community will make this charity event a success. We hope to see everyone dressed in their best costumes that day. Every year we are surprised to see the creative costumes and car decorations that you all come up with. We are looking forward to this event and we have many many prizes for you all to have a chance to win.

Come help us raise funds for the most needy in our own area. :)
